Maker 'n'

What if design at Northwestern had a symbol representing its hands-on making experience?

Starting with Prototype Purple, the Segal Design Institute's homecoming event, I designed a Northwestern 'N' made out tools and prototyping materials. The 'N' has evolved through several iterations and has become a symbol for design at Northwestern being used for posters, t-shirts, vinyl interior graphics and more. We continue to evolve the look and feel of the 'N' and use it in new and meaningful ways.
