INTRO TO INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

What if  non-design students had the skills and confidence to communicate ideas visually?

Introduction to Industrial Design is an entry-level design course teaching sketching and marker rendering to non-designers. Students enter the course with varying degrees of experience in design, and leave with the ability to confidently articulate ideas visually. I teach one section of the course each year and work with students to find their personal style and push their ability to define form and aesthetics.

Throughout the course, students design handtools, footwear, furniture, personal electronics and a final project of their choice.
